GAZA August 26. 2024 (Saba) - The Director of Public Relations at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah Governorate in the central Gaza Strip confirmed that the medical teams are still providing medical services to patients until now, despite the evacuation orders issued by the Zionist enemy army.
Mohammed al-Hajj said in media statements on Monday, that Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah provides health services to more than one million displaced people, and if it stops working, a health and humanitarian disaster will occur, and this may cause the death of patients in the streets.
He explained that the hospital currently has seven patients in intensive care rooms in critical condition, and approximately 100 patients in the rest of the hospital departments who need continuous health care.
The Zionist enemy army issued orders to evacuate a residential area around Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the central Gaza Strip, and as a result, thousands of civilians who were in the hospital were displaced for fear of being invaded, similar to previous invasions of hospitals during the war.
The administration of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah appealed to international institutions and the Red Cross to provide protection for this health facility, which is the only one left in the central governorate of Gaza Strip.
