TEHRAN August 26. 2024 (Saba) - Iran's Armed Forces Chief of Staff, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, stressed that revenge against the Zionist entity is inevitable and unavoidable, for its assault on Iranian sovereignty by assassinating the head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran.
Major General Bagheri said in statements he made during the ceremony of introducing the new Defense Minister, Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, on Monday, that "the assassination of the martyr leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran cannot be forgotten, and that revenge for his blood, whether by the resistance axis or Iran, is inevitable."
He added that Iran will determine how and when to take revenge, stressing that it "will not be drawn into the trap of media excitement promoted by the enemies."
Bagheri pointed out that "the axis of resistance will also take revenge for the martyr Haniyeh blood , each according to his program , capabilities, and what we witnessed yesterday is part of this revenge."
