GAZA August 26. 2024 (Saba) - Zionist forces have issued an evacuation order for the area surrounding al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza.
The directive, which affects the facility supported by Doctors Without Borders, has prompted widespread panic following an explosion approximately 250 meters away.
Doctors Without Borders is now contemplating halting its wound care services, though it aims to continue life-saving treatments amid the chaos.
The hospital, which is operating well beyond its capacity, currently houses about 100 patients, including seven in the intensive care unit, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
The organization has condemned the situation as intolerable, emphasizing that the hospital has been strained beyond its limits due to the lack of alternatives for patients.
The group has called for all warring parties to respect the hospital and ensure that patients receive medical care.
The evacuation orders have left hundreds of thousands of displaced individuals with only a meager 41-square-kilometer "humanitarian zone" for refuge.
The Gaza Strip's Ministry of Health has urgently appealed for the protection of al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, its patients, and its staff, in light of the Israeli evacuation directive affecting the nearby area.
