SANA'A August 25. 2024 (Saba) - Minister for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Jamal Amer commended the efforts and professionalism of the Hodeida Redeployment Commission as part of the negotiations to ensure the success of the Stockholm Agreement and its wise handling of the mercenary's intransigence by the other side to attend joint meetings more than two years ago.

In the meeting, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff - Chairman of the Committee, Major General Ali Al-Mushki, briefed the Minister of Foreign Affairs on the course of the work of the national redeployment team with the United Nations Mission to Support the Hodeidah Agreement and the efforts made during the last period to seek to implement the terms of the Stockholm Agreement in the governorate in light of the intransigence of the other party to attend the meetings and facilities provided to the UN mission "UNMHA" to supervise the implementation of the Stockholm Agreement and the success of its outcomes.

He pointed to the dangers posed by the remnants of the countries of aggression and their mercenaries from various mines and cluster bombs, which need to exert more efforts to find mechanisms to collect and clear those dangerous and deadly remnants that have exacerbated the suffering of civilians in Hodeidah, especially after they were washed away by floods, in addition to their suffering resulting from the continuation of the other party to commit violations, violations and attacks against civilians and their private property in the southern directorates of the governorate and their tireless efforts to thwart the agreement and the UN efforts to calm the situation in those areas. Directorates.

The meeting stood in the face of the obstruction of the countries of aggression to transfer the United Nations Investigation and Inspection Mechanism (UNFIM) to the port of Hodeidah in accordance with what was agreed upon and agreed upon when the agreement was concluded.

In the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants affirmed the ministry's readiness to overcome all difficulties that may arise during the carrying out of its work in a way that leads to the success of the tasks it carries out through coordination with the Hodeidah mission and other stakeholders, including assistance in finding grants related to mine clearance, communicating with representatives of the United Nations and the concerned authorities to pressure the other party to fully implement the Stockholm Agreement and implement the agreement on the opening of the two roads, which he committed to open in order to push for the opening of all roads to facilitate movements. and the movements of civilians and alleviating their suffering.

He explained that the Stockholm agreement is limited to Hodeidah province and considers the opening of any branches of the mission a clear violation of the Sweden agreement.
