Handing over grain milling project to Aktaf Association in Al-Maraw’ah District in Hodeida

HODEIDA August 25. 2024 (Saba) - The National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response delivered a grain milling project to meet the needs of poor groups to Aktaf Agricultural Cooperative Association in Al-Maraw'ah District in Al-Hodeida Province.

The project, worth $19,700 and funded by the Direct Aid Society, consists of a mill with a 7.5 kilowatt motor and a room equipped with an 11 kilowatt solar energy system.

The project aims to help the poorest families in the district and reduce the burden on them in the cost of grinding grain in commercial mills, as part of empowerment projects that help the poor meet the requirements of providing basic needs, including food.

The delivery was attended by the Director of the Directorate, Abdullah Al-Marouni, the Secretary-General of the Local Council, Qasim Rabie, the President of the Association, Muhammad Attia, the Coordinator of the Supreme Council for the Management of Humanitarian Affairs in the Directorate, Abdullah Yamani, the Representative of the Supreme Council for Food Security and Agriculture Projects, Fahmi Al-Qassim, and the Coordinator of the Economic Empowerment Project at the National Foundation, Engineer Saddam Al-Hamati.
