
SANA'A August 25. 2024 (Saba) - The Customs Authority formed field teams to monitor work progress in customs centers and their compliance with the instructions related to accelerating , facilitating customs procedures and working in shifts around the clock.
The teams began their work according to the field visit program that aims to implement the directives of the Supreme Political Council President and the Head of the Customs Authority regarding accelerating and facilitating procedures and working around the clock to ensure reducing the customs clearance period and accelerating the goods release .
Al-Raheda Customs Center team leader - Director General of Legal Affairs, Muhammad Abdul-Mumin Al-Shami, explained that the team continues its work at the center to ensure that the new directives are implemented to improve the customs work progress as required.
For his part, the team member - Director General of Customs Police Nashwan Ali Al-Kahlani explained that the team has completed settling the status of 51 means of transport and they have been released.
He stated that 25 means of transport have been settled and are in the process of completing their procedures and awaiting the presence of their owners to receive them, while 61 smuggling crimes are still pending before the Public Prosecution and the judiciary.
