HODEIDA August 25. 2024 (Saba) - Zakat Office in Al-Qanawis District, Al-Hodeida Province, distributed 152 food baskets on Sunday to families affected by the rain floods.
The Northern Axis Commander - the Mobilization Officer in the Northern Square, Major General Fadel Al-Dhayani, appreciated the leadership role of the General Authority for Zakat and its office in the Province and Al-Qanawis District in the emergency response to help families whose houses collapsed due to the rain floods, as part of the humanitarian duty to alleviate the suffering of these families, especially in light of the ongoing rainy season.
The Directorate Director , Mohammed Al-Qawzi, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Zakat Authority for addressing the suffering of affected and standing by them, embodying the values of social solidarity.
For his part, the Director of the Zakat Office in the Directorate, Hassan Al-Nahari, explained that providing assistance to families affected by the floods is done in accordance with the legitimate expenditures of Zakat, considering that these cases fall within its scope.
