Moscow August 25. 2024 (Saba) - The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Saturday, that units of the "North" forces group on the Kursk axis repelled Ukrainian attacks in the direction of the towns and villages of Borki, Spalonoye, Cherkaskoye Borychnoye and Malaya Lukhnya.
RT channel quoted the ministry as saying in a statement that attack attempts were also thwarted in the direction of Komarovka and Krymyanoye, and as a result the enemy lost more than 60 soldiers between dead and wounded, while ten other soldiers surrendered, noting that Russian forces continued to monitor and destroy enemy sabotage groups trying to penetrate deep into Russian territory.
The ministry added that Russian fire strikes targeted gatherings of troops and military equipment of five Ukrainian brigades in a number of border areas of Kursk, and the air force bombed areas where personnel and military equipment of the enemy's reserves were concentrated, as well as the 1st and 17th brigades of the Ukrainian National Guard in the Sumy region adjacent to Kursk.
