Emergency Committee begins maintenance work on Rada'a Archaeological Castle in Al Bayda

BAYDA August 24. 2024 (Saba) - The Emergency Committee in Al Bayda Province began on Saturday maintenance work on the historic Rada'a Castle "Shammar Yahrash", in accordance with the governor's directives, following damage caused by heavy rains.

The governor's deputy, Ahmed Al-Saiqal, explained that work has begun to restore the collapsed parts of Rada'a Castle, in addition to assessing the damage to the historic buildings and castles in province cities , directorates , and developing solutions and treatments to preserve them in coordination with the relevant authorities.

He pointed out the keenness of the Province leadership and the emergency committee to implement what is included in the central plan to confront flood damage, determine priorities, and develop a plan that contributes to reducing flood damage to agricultural lands and archaeological sites exposed to collapses, maintaining asphalt roads, and draining rainwater.
