[19/ August/2024]
SANA'A August 19. 2024 (Saba) -Sana'a Social Care Fund on Monday saw the kickoff of a 4-day training course in community protection, organized by the Fund in cooperation with the UNICEF.

The training is expected to provide 25 trainees with skills necessary to implement protection programs according to needs, the minister of social affairs and labor said, amid "negative impacts the aggression and siege left on the largest group of the community."

The aggression and siege on Yemen caused disastrous complications that expanded poverty range, lowered development, worsened social services and living costs, and denied many citizens access to healthcare, education, social protection and other services, Sameer Ba-Ja'ala added.

At a meeting with UNICEF representative, the minister discussed cooperation and partnership in social protection, and underlined the need for government agencies and CSOs to unite efforts in order to improve living conditions.
