
BAYDA August 18. 2024 (Saba) - The service of the Passenger Procedures Unit and the facilitation of services was launched at Afar Customs Center in Al-Bayda Governorate.
During the inauguration, the Customs Authority's undersecretaries for the police sector, Mohamed Al-Madani, and the governorate, Ahmed Al-Shaiba, listened to an explanation about the components of the unit and its importance in facilitating procedures and improving services for travelers.
The Undersecretary of the Authority praised the efforts of those in charge of the Afar Center in completing this project within a record period to facilitate and complete passenger transactions and provide a service unit, which represents a great achievement that will be circulated to the rest of the ports in the governorates of the Republic.
He urged concerted and integrated efforts to create a tangible service for passengers.
The Undersecretary of the Governorate praised the efforts made to complete the project, which represents an outlet for travelers who travel long distances, who will receive care and attention at the Afar Center after the suffering of travel.
He urged redoubling efforts, intensifying work, and facilitating procedures in a way that would alleviate the burdens of suffering faced by expatriates and travelers at customs control points and ports.
For his part, the Director of Afar Customs Center, Fahd Hazza, explained that the launch of this service comes in response to the directions of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council and out of a sense of responsibility towards facilitating and providing services to travelers and expatriates, equipping and furnishing the passenger procedures unit with various equipment and providing services over 24 hours.
He pointed to the keenness to simplify, facilitate, and facilitate procedures and smooth movement at the port, which would reduce the suffering incurred by travelers, especially after the opening of the Al-Bayda-Marib road.
