DHAMAR August 18. 2024 (Saba) - The General Authority for Endowments and the School of Sharia Sciences in Dhamar province officially launched on Sunday the events marking the anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for the year 1446 AH, under the theme "Muhammad is the Messenger of God, and those with him are strong against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves."
During the event, Dhamar first undersecretary Mahmoud al-Hubain emphasized the significance of commemorating the Prophet's birth as an opportunity to draw lessons from his life and strengthen connections to his teachings.
Al-Hubain highlighted the role of preachers in promoting the values of Prophet Muhammad within the community and addressing various challenges.
Director of the Endowments Office Abdullah al-Jarmouzi stressed the importance of celebrating the Prophet’s birth as a means to draw inspiration from his life, adhere to Islamic identity, and foster a strong connection with the Quran.
Sheikh Ismail al-Washli of the Yemeni Scholars Association underscored the celebration’s role in emphasizing the greatness of Prophet Muhammad and the Yemeni people's historical connection to him.
The event also marked the beginning of religious, scientific, and cultural activities across the province's mosques and prayer halls in honor of the Prophet’s birthday.
