MOSCOW August 17. 2024 (Saba) - The Russian military found boxes of Western ammunition among the wreckage of a Ukrainian military convoy that was completely destroyed by Russian forces in Kursk region, which was subjected to a Ukrainian attack.
The RIA Novosti and RT channel quoted a Russian military source as saying that: "Boxes containing machine gun belts and 12.7 mm NATO cartridges were found inside the armored vehicles that were seized at the site of a Ukrainian military convoy that was destroyed by the Russian army in Kursk region."
As of yesterday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the elimination of 2,860 Ukrainian soldiers, the destruction of 41 tanks, 276 armored vehicles, four air defense platforms, and six rocket launchers, including three American "HIMARS", in Kursk, which was subjected to a Ukrainian attack.
On August 6, Ukrainian forces launched a surprise attack on Kursk border region in southwestern Russia, which led to the killing of 12 civilians and the injury of 121 others, including ten children, while the authorities evacuated more than 120,000 people from the regions at risk in the region.
Russian helicopters continue to comb the area, while attack aircraft and fighters are launching intensive strikes against Kiev forces in the depths adjacent to the attack area.
