LEBANON August 15. 2024 (Saba) - Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah Naim Qassem said on Thursday that the decision to respond to the Zionist enemy has been taken and that it will happen.
Naim Qassem described US envoy Amos Hochstein's visit to Lebanon as "showmanship", adding that "there are no specific US proposals".
"The United States wants to show that it is moving, but in a vacuum without a project so far," he said.
Earlier, Israel's Channel 13 said that "Israel now appreciates that the Allah Party is determined to respond to the assassination of leader Fuad Shukr."
"Hezbollah may launch an attack on Israel after the end of the visit of US envoy Amos Hochstein, but it has not yet specified its objectives," he said.
It is noteworthy that an Israeli raid in Beirut targeted Fuad Shukr, a prominent military commander in Hezbollah, and a day later the head of Hamas' political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, was assassinated while he was in Tehran to participate in the Iranian president's inauguration.
