
HODEIDA August 14. 2024 (Saba) – Hodeida province on Wednesday inaugurated its new Central Correctional Facility building.
This project, developed by the Rehabilitation and Reform Authority of the Ministry of Interior in collaboration with the Support and Development Fund of Hodeida province, aims to address overcrowding in the old facility.
The opening ceremony highlighted the building's role in improving conditions for inmates.
Maj. Gen. Ismail al-Muayyad, Head of the Rehabilitation and Reform Authority, emphasized that the new facility aligns with the directives of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council to enhance inmate welfare.
Ali Garran, Chairman of the Prisons Committee, lauded the facility’s construction and its focus on inmate rehabilitation and religious education.
Col. Mansour al-Hasani, Director of the Central Correctional Facility, confirmed that the new building meets all legal standards and thanked the leadership of the Ministry of Interior, the Authority, and the Hodeida Support Fund for their support.
