NEW YORK August 13. 2024 (Saba) - The United Nations Security Council on Tuesday began discussing its agenda during an emergency session, which deals with the situation in the Middle East, especially the Zionist army's recent attack targeting a school housing displaced people.
Council members will hear briefings by the Head of the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, Rosemary DiCarlo, and the Director of the Division on Finance and Partnerships at the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Lisa Dutten, to provide a summary of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
They discussed the targeting of displaced people, the latest of which was the massacre that took place in the "Al-Taabi'een" school, which shelters displaced people in Al-Daraj neighborhood in the center of Gaza City, which killed more than 100 martyrs.
