SANA'A August 11. 2024 (Saba) – The Yemeni Center for Human Rights has strongly condemned the continued crimes and massacres committed by the Zionist entity against civilians in Gaza, which have persisted for ten months.
In a statement, the center denounced the recent targeting of al-Tabeen School in al-Daraj neighborhood of central Gaza by Nazi enemy forces.
The attack, which occurred during the dawn prayer on Saturday, August 10, 2024, killing over 100 people and injuring dozens others.
The statement emphasized that this atrocity, along with previous violations targeting civilians, civilian infrastructure, and shelters, constitutes genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes, punishable under international law.
The center also condemned the ongoing silence and failure of the United Nations, the Security Council, and international organizations to act against the Zionist entity's crimes, which have continued for over 309 days.
During this period, more than 39,790 people, including a large number of women and children, have been killed, and 92,002 have been injured.
The center's statement highlighted the systematic targeting by the Zionist entity, aimed at subjugating the Palestinian people and occupying their land.
It reaffirmed the Palestinian people's right to self-defense and called on the United Nations, the Arab League, and all Islamic countries to provide urgent relief and support.
The center urged the neighboring nations of Palestine to pressure their governments to open border crossings and allow the entry of humanitarian aid, food, medicine, and shelter for the besieged population of Gaza, stressing that ending the Zionist aggression is a humanitarian duty recognized by all laws and customs.
