Foreign Ministry condemns massacre of Israeli entity in school housing displaced people in Gaza Strip
[10/ August/2024]
SANA'A August 10. 2024 (Saba) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned Israel's acts of thuggery and brutal military aggression against the occupied Palestinian territories and the perpetration of a horrific massacre by targeting worshippers during dawn prayers at Al-Taabi'een School, which shelters displaced people in Al-Daraj neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement received by Saba, said that the massacre, which killed more than a hundred civilians and injured dozens of civilians, most of them women and children, and cases of complete burns and amputations of organs, reaffirms the Israeli enemy's violation of international law and all international norms, and its disregard for the international legal system.

It warned that the reaction to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the targeting of the leaders of the Axis of Resistance will not stop at the borders of the Palestinian and Lebanese territories, but will have serious repercussions on international peace and security, including threatening the security of the regimes supporting the Zionist entity.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on Arabic and Islamic countries that seek normalization with the Israeli enemy to review their position, and not to ignore the position of their people rejecting relations with the Israeli enemy in particular, but rather the fall of false masks and all arguments and justifications for normalization.

It renewed the call on the international community, especially the United States, as a permanent member of the Security Council, to assume its responsibilities under the Charter of the United Nations and to cease its blind and unlimited support for the Zionist entity.

It also called on the League of Arabic States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to assume responsibility for defending member states against the expansion of Israeli aggression.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs concluded its statement by affirming the position of the Republic of Yemen in support of all available means to preserve the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people and the establishment of their independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, stressing that Yemen will stand in the position of defending Palestinian rights and confronting Zionist aggression everywhere, as long as it continues to commit its crimes in Palestine.
