SANA'A August 10. 2024 (Saba) - Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf met with the UN Resident Coordinator - Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen, Julien Harneis.
In the meeting, Minister Sharaf referred to the floods that hit the governorates of Hodeida and Hajjah, which doubled the suffering of the citizen, indicating that this is added to the repercussions of the humanitarian disaster created by the aggression and siege coalition.
The Foreign Minister called on the United Nations to continue its efforts to cease fire to ensure the entry of humanitarian aid into the besieged Gaza Strip and stop the crimes of the Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people.
In turn, the UN Resident Coordinator - Humanitarian Coordinator Harneis stressed the interest of the United Nations offices, organizations, agencies and programs operating in Yemen in humanitarian work and confronting the humanitarian disaster in Yemen.
