LONDON August 10. 2024 (Saba) -The British police has remained in high alert, in anticipation of further riots on the weekend, the UK minister in charge of the cabinet, Nike Tomas-Simonds, said late on Friday.
Riots erupted in last week following false posts on the web mistakenly accusing a Muslim emigrant of stabbing three little girls to death in Southport on 29 July.
Led by what Prime Minister Starmer dubbed as outlaws from the far-Right, the violence targeted Muslim and black-skinned migrants.
Those involved in riots could expect to come before court, the British PM told reporters, as great judgments have already been issued.
