BAGHDAD August 09. 2024 (Saba) - An Iraqi security source announced on Friday the initiation of a security operation spanning the border between Diyala and Salahuddin provinces.
According to the Iraqi news agency Al-Maalouma, the operation involves two main axes in the eastern part of Hawi al-Adhaim, extending eight kilometers into the border area between the two provinces.
The source stated that the operation aims to bolster the security of administrative borders, prevent the expansion of ISIS terrorist cells, and disrupt ISIS infiltration routes around the liberated villages in al-Hawi al-Adhaim district of northern Diyala.
