RAMALLAH August 07. 2024 (Saba) - The Commission for Prisoners and Ex-Detainees Affairs confirmed on Wednesday that the number of arrests among children, since the seventh of last October, reached 690 cases.
The Palestinian Information Center quoted the commission in a statement as saying: "The Zionist enemy arrests Palestinian children systematically, and within punitive mass arrest campaigns."
It explained that the authorities of the Zionist enemy kept 250 children inside their prisons.
Earlier today, the Palestinian Prisoners' Club called on the United Nations to conduct an impartial international investigation into the systematic torture of Palestinian detainees, a photographed part of which was revealed through what was leaked to the media, in addition to dozens of testimonies documented by the competent institutions, which ensure the condemnation and accountability of the Zionist enemy.
The number of detainees in Israeli prisons until the beginning of August reached more than 9,900, and this number, according to the Prisoners' Club, does not include all Gaza detainees, specifically those detained in camps belonging to the Zionist enemy army.
