WASHINGTON August 07. 2024 (Saba) - The U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken late on Tuesday said the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, Yahiya Sinwar, was and still is the one who has the final say to reach a ceasefire, and that he must decide on its cessation.
Negotiations on the detainees in Gaza have reached the final stage, Blinken added, according to the Palestine Today Agency, urging the parties to work to complete the Gaza agreement as soon as possible.
"We informed Israel and Iran directly that no one should escalate the conflict in the region," the U.S. FM said.
