
SANA'A August 2024 AD (Saba) - A meeting in Sana'a province on Wednesday, headed by Deputy Governor for the Services Sector Fares al-Kuhali, discussed the mechanism for improving cleaning work and removing waste in Sana'a districts.
The meeting, which included the Deputy Director of the Cleaning Fund, Mohammed al-Dawla, and the Directors of Cleaning, Follow-up and Awareness in the Fund, the Fund's branches and neighborhood officials in the New Sana'a, Sanhan, Bani Hushaish, Hamdan and Bani Matar districts, addressed the role of the heads of neighborhoods in raising awareness among citizens about the importance of cleanliness and preserving the environment to prevent the spread of epidemics and diseases.
The meeting approved the preparation of notices and their delivery to the heads of neighborhoods to distribute them to residents in their areas, including specific instructions for the process of collecting and disposing of garbage, its collection locations and times of its removal, and the penalties that violator may be exposed to.
In the meeting, province undersecretary al-Kuhali stressed the need to activate the role and tasks of neighborhood officials and elders in the districts, to educate citizens about the importance of adhering to garbage removal dates and maintaining public cleanliness, especially during the rainy season, to reduce the spread of diseases and epidemics.
He pointed out the need to develop the work mechanism by removing garbage waste and direct automatic collection according to an integrated and organized work plan for cleaning equipment in the various directorates of the governorate, ensuring the removal of waste from the streets and neighborhoods on a regular basis.
Al-Kuhali urged everyone to sense responsibility and work in an organized and unified manner according to an integrated mechanism and work plan that would enhance and improve the level of cleanliness and services, stressing that the current stage is the stage of performance evaluation and the necessary decisions will be taken in light of it.
