
HAJJAH August 05. 2024 (Saba) - Secretary-General of the Local Council in Hajjah province, Ismail al-Muhaim, reviewed the progress of the landslide treatment project west of Hawrah in the provincial center on Monday.
Al-Muhaim, along with Director of the Planning Office in the province, Dr. Abdulrahman al-Malhani, inspected the ongoing work, which includes digging, inspecting, and filling loose rock masses and joints with cement to support retaining walls. These efforts aim to reduce landslides caused by rain and floods.
The officials received a briefing from the contractor on the project's completion status, which costs $126,000 and is funded by the Public Works Project, as well as the challenges faced.
Al-Muhaim emphasized the importance of completing the project according to technical specifications and within the specified timeframe to mitigate landslides and protect citizens' homes and properties.
