HR Observatory reports daily deaths in Gaza due to siege
[05/ August/2024]
GENEVA August 05. 2024 (Saba) - A human rights observatory announced on Monday that the Gaza Strip records many daily deaths due to the arbitrary siege imposed by the Zionist enemy forces on the Strip, and their continued prevention of the entry of medical supplies.

According to Sama News Agency, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said in a statement that this requires more than ever urgent action to lift the siege on the Strip, and to bring in medical supplies to save the lives of sick and wounded civilians.

The observatory pointed out that the enemy forces have systematically and extensively destroyed the health sector in Gaza over the past ten months, stressing the need to rebuild the health system immediately and ensure its protection from Zionist targeting in Gaza.

The human rights observatory confirmed that it receives dozens of complaints daily from Palestinians who need to travel or their relatives to receive life-saving treatment outside the Gaza Strip, due to the lack of appropriate treatment, medicines and medical equipment, and the majority of hospitals being out of service, due to the siege and Zionist targeting.

The observatory pointed out that the enemy forces closed the Rafah land crossing, which is the only outlet during the war for travel in the Gaza Strip, since the redeployment of its military forces and their concentration in it and the destruction of large parts of it last May, which deprived thousands of the injured and sick from traveling to receive treatment.
