Saba Correspondent says Palestinian refugees in Gaza await a dire future amid ongoing, indiscriminate aerial bombardment
[04/ August/2024]
GAZA August 04. 2024 (Saba) - According to Saba’s correspondent, Nidal Abu Mustafa, Palestinian refugees sheltered in Gaza are facing dire conditions, awaiting their fate amid indiscriminate aerial bombardment by the Occupation forces targeting their shelters and schools.

The Yemeni News Agency (Saba) correspondent has reported that recent days have seen an escalation in attacks by the enemy forces on shelters and United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) schools, leading to a significant loss of life and numerous injuries among the displaced.

On Sunday, Abu Mustafa detailed two separate massacres at al-Nasr and Hassan Salama schools in al-Nasr City, resulting in at least 30 fatalities, dozens of injuries, and at least 15 individuals are missing. The previous day, similar tragedies occurred in the Sheikh Radwan area, with substantial casualties reported.

Abu Mustafa highlighted the ongoing daily massacres targeting Palestinian civilians in shelters and displacement sites, noting the severe destruction of residential areas and homes across Gaza.

He stressed that with no safe refuge available and no international or regional intervention to halt the attacks, the displaced population is left with no choice but to await their turn amidst the escalating violence.

The correspondent underscored the critical situation, stating that the lack of international pressure on the Occupation forces has allowed the attacks to continue unabated.

He called for immediate and intensified action from the Arab, Islamic, and international communities to stop the daily carnage that has overwhelmed hospitals and medical facilities, which are struggling to cope with the high number of casualties and the spread of diseases.

Abu Mustafa concluded by emphasizing the catastrophic state of affairs in Gaza, where the humanitarian crisis is escalating with each passing day.

The dire need for a decisive and coordinated response to halt the ongoing massacres and provide relief to the affected populations is more urgent than ever.
