RAMALLAH August 04. 2024 (Saba) -The Israeli army raided the Aqsa Mosque 23 times and prevented azan at the Ibrahimi Mosque 43 times last July alone, the Palestinian ministry for religious affairs said on Sunday.
The enemy forces and Zionist settlers in the last month escalated their assaults against Aqsa Mosque in terms of the number of raids and raiders, but also the issuance of critical plots to Judaize the Holy Mosque and the Old Town, the ministry added in its monthly report carried by WAFA.
Aqsa was stormed in the same month by the extremist Ben-Gvir, who called then for settlers be encouraged to break into the Mosque and perform Talmudic rituals there, in an attempt to impose new policy aimed at changing the status quo in Aqsa Mosque, the ministry said.
The Zionist authorities prevented azan and persisted in assaults against the Ibrahimi Mosque in the form of repeatedly storming into its places, mounting on its roof, denying its visitors and staff access, and closing its eastern gate, the report read.
