SA'ADA August 03. 2024 (Saba) - Sa'ada province on Saturday saw a series of intense protests in support of Gaza and Palestinian prisoners held by the Israeli regime.

The demonstrations were part of a global day of anger for the assassination of late leader Ismail Haniyeh.

The central protest in Sa'ada city drew significant participation from local authorities, residents, and representatives from educational and health institutions.

Sa'ada governor Mohammed Awad praised the widespread turnout and emphasized that the protests were a response to Haniyeh's call for solidarity.

Governor Awad condemned the recent assassinations of Haniyeh and leader Fouad Shukr, warning of severe repercussions for the Israeli regime.

The protesters expressed their condemnation of the brutal treatment faced by Palestinian prisoners in Israeli detention, pledging support for their release and the overthrow of the Zionist regime.

A statement from the protests reiterated a commitment to jihad as a means to confront the Zionist enemy, regardless of the sacrifices required. It criticized the failure of many Arab and Islamic governments to support the Palestinian cause and called on global citizens to expose the hypocrisy of Western claims to human rights while overlooking Zionist violations.

The statement also urged the immediate release of Palestinian resistance prisoners held by treasonous regimes and denounced their participation in the crimes of the Zionist entity.
