NEW DELHI August 02. 2024 (Saba) - A group of prominent figures in India have called on Defense Minister Rajnath Singh to stop sending arms to the Zionist enemy entity.
On Friday, Indian media reported that former judges of the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court, economists and activists sent a letter to Defense Minister Singh, which stated: "India must immediately suspend its cooperation with Israel regarding the shipment of military ammunition, while making every effort immediately to ensure that the arms delivered to Israel are not used in genocide or violations of international humanitarian law."
The prominent figures explained that the government had granted licenses to at least three arms companies to export weapons to "Israel" during the war on Gaza and even after the decisions of the International Court of Justice.
They stressed that India is committed to various international laws and agreements that oblige it not to export military weapons to countries that commit war crimes.
