OCCUPIED QUDS August 02. 2024 (Saba) - A number of ministers in the Zionist enemy government called for the arrest of the Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Akram Sabri, and the withdrawal of his identity, after he mourned the head of the political bureau of Hamas, the martyr Ismail Haniyeh, during the Friday sermon.
The so-called Minister of National Security in the enemy government, Itamar Ben Gvir, said in media statements today, Friday, that the Zionist police ordered a request to open an investigation against Sheikh Akram Sabri after he mourned Ismail Haniyeh during the Friday sermon in Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Akram Sabri, said in his obituary for the martyr Ismail Haniyeh during the Friday sermon: "We ask God to have mercy on him and to grant him a spacious place in heaven with the prophets, the truthful and the righteous."
The worshipers chanted takbeers as Sheikh Sabri mourned the martyr Haniyeh and chanted: "With our souls and our blood we will redeem you, O martyr."
