DOHA August 02. 2024 (Saba) - The funeral of Martyr Ismail Haniyah, head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, was held in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Friday afternoon.
Funeral prayers were held over the body of the martyr Haniyah at the Imam Mohamed bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque, before his burial in the tomb of the founding imam in Lusail.
The funeral ceremony was attended by leaders and representatives of Palestinian factions, a number of Qatari officials, and delegations from Arab and Islamic countries.
The Friday preacher at the Imam Mohamed bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque in Doha, Mohamed Hassan Al-Muraikhi, called for mercy for the deceased.
Al-Muraikhi stressed that "the cause of Palestine is the cause of all Muslims that brings together their word and unites their ranks," noting that "the Palestinians sacrificed the sacrifices of its counterpart."
On Thursday, the body of Ismail Haniyah, head of Hamas' political bureau, arrived in Doha from Iran.
Yesterday, the Iranian capital witnessed a funeral ceremony for the head of Hamas' political bureau in the presence of official and popular after his assassination at his residence.
