Salami condoles Sayyed Nasrallah:
[02/ August/2024]
TEHRAN August 02. 2024 (Saba) - Maj. Gen. Hossein Salami, Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, extended his condolences on Friday to Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah following the martyrdom of prominent jihadist leader Fouad Shukr, also known as Sayyed Mohsen.

In his message, Salami expressed that the assassination of Sayyed Mohsen "ushers in hope for a significant victory for the front of truth," and warned that "the Zionists should expect severe retaliation."

Salami described the late leader Shukr as "the embodiment of Hezbollah's martyrs," highlighting his pivotal role in the resistance movement.

Sayyed Mohsen was killed on July 30 when an Israeli F-35 aircraft launched two missiles at Haret Hreik in Beirut's southern suburbs.

This attack occurred shortly before the assassination of Hamas political bureau head Ismail Haniyeh.

Shukr, a key figure in the foundation of the resistance, was noted for his crucial contributions in establishing early resistance groups. Following Shukr's death, Sayyed Nasrallah vowed a decisive and thoughtful response to the assassination and the attack on the southern suburbs, indicating that the retaliation will be substantial and not merely symbolic.

The media has reported heightened alert in the occupied territories, anticipating a strong reaction from Hezbollah and Iran in response to the recent aggressions against Beirut and Tehran.
