CAIRO July 31. 2024 (Saba) - Al-Azhar Al-Sharif issued a strong condemnation on Wednesday of the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas political bureau, describing it as a heinous crime by the occupying entity.
In its statement, al-Azhar asserted that the murder of Haniyeh, who was killed at dawn Wednesday, will not weaken the resolve of the Palestinian people.
The statement highlighted Haniyeh's lifelong dedication to defending Palestine and emphasized that such acts of violence will not diminish the Palestinian people's determination to achieve an independent state with al-Quds as its capital.
