BAGHDAD July 31. 2024 (Saba) — Issam Shaker, a prominent figure in the Iraqi State of Law Coalition, has denounced the U.S. policy of "treachery" and declared it would not intimidate Iraqis.
In an interview with the Iraqi news agency "al-Maalouma," Shaker condemned the recent U.S. airstrike on a Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) headquarters north of Babylon, which resulted in casualties among Iraqi forces.
He described the attack as a "blatant assault on national sovereignty" and reaffirmed that such actions would not deter the Iraqi people.
Shaker emphasized that the expulsion of American forces from Iraq remains a critical national priority for ensuring the country's stability.
He accused Washington of prioritizing the security of the Israeli state at the expense of Arab and Islamic nations' safety and well-being.
Despite the recent loss, Shaker underscored that the Popular Mobilization Forces would persist, driven by the legacy of their martyrs and their unwavering commitment, defying Western and Zionist arrogance.
