WEST BANK July 30. 2024 (Saba) - The number of West Bank detainees inside the prisons of the Zionist enemy has risen to 9,870 since the start of the aggression on the Gaza Strip on the seventh of last October, after the army arrested 15 Palestinians.
The Commission for Prisoners and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club said in a joint statement that "the toll of arrests since the start of the ongoing war of extermination has risen to more than 9,870."
The two institutions explained that the enemy army conducted "a campaign of arrests on Monday and Tuesday that affected at least 15 citizens from the West Bank, including children and former prisoners."
They pointed out that the Israeli army carries out during the arrest campaigns "large-scale raids and abuses, attacks and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to field investigations, and vandalism and destruction of citizens' homes."
In conjunction with its devastating war on Gaza, the enemy army intensified its operations in the West Bank, leaving 592 martyrs and about 5,400 wounded, according to official data.
