BRUSSELS July 30. 2024 (Saba) - The European Council on Monday officially commenced budgetary general severe deficiency procedures against seven member states, which requires corrective measures or financial sanctions, RT website said.
France, Belgium, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Malta and Romania trespassed the general deficit limit set by 3% of gross domestic product (GDP) last year, in accordance with the European stability convention, the EC said in a statement.
