GAZA July 30. 2024 (Saba) - Gaza-based Palestinian health ministry late on Monday declared the Strip a polio-affected area, as the Zionist persistent aggression aggravated the humanitarian situation there.
The CVPV2 virus was discovered in sewage in Khan Younis and middle provinces, which puts the public health in jeopardy and poses risks to neighbor countries, the ministry said in a statement carried by the Palestinian media center.
The counter-epidemic program, launched in cooperation with the UNICEF and WHO, will not be sufficient, unless immediate measures are taken to end the aggression, the ministry added.
