LONDON July 30. 2024 (Saba) - An international team of scientists announced the discovery of a common type of bacteria that makes some types of cancer "dissolve".
The team was quoted by British media today, Tuesday, as saying that they were "very surprised" when they found that Fusobacterium bacteria, a bacterium commonly found in the mouth, appeared to have the ability to kill some types of cancer.
The scientists also found that those with head and neck cancer who had this bacteria inside the cancer had "significantly better outcomes".
