
PARIS July 29. 2024 (Saba) - The Algerian player Masoud Dris on Sunday withdrew from the judo competitions for men under 73 kg weight at the "Paris 2024" Olympic Games, after he refused to face a "Zionist" player in the round of 32.
Immediately after announcing his withdrawal, the Paris Olympic Committee removed Masoud Dris's name from Monday's competitions at the Olympics.
It is noteworthy that in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, the Algerian Fathi Nourine withdrew from participation after the draw placed him in a match against a "Zionist" player as well.
