MOSCOW July 25. 2024 (Saba) - Russian President Vladimir Putin met his Syrian counterpart, Bashar al-Assad, at the Kremlin Palace in the Russian capital, Moscow.
The Syrian News Agency reported that President Bashar al-Assad and his Russian counterpart discussed all aspects of relations between the two countries. They also discussed the situation in the Middle East region , the rapid developments it is experiencing, and aspects of joint coordination to deal with them.
President Al-Assad considered that both Syria and Russia went through difficult challenges and were always able to overcome them, noting the mutual trust and credibility on which the relations of the two countries and peoples are based.
For his part, President Putin stressed that the situation is becoming more tense in the Middle East, and that the discussions with President Assad are an opportunity to discuss all possible developments and scenarios.
Stressing at the same time that there are promising opportunities for economic and trade relations between Syria and Russia.
