Protesters surround British Foreign Office to protest arms exports to Zionist entity
[25/ July/2024]
LONDON July 25. 2024 (Saba) - Pro-Palestinian demonstrators have blocked the entrances to the British Foreign Office in London, protesting the new Labor government's lack of action in changing the United Kingdom’s policy towards the genocide perpetrated by the Zionist entity in Gaza.

Local media reported that approximately 300 protesters blocked access to the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday morning with a large banner reading: "Genocide Made in Britain." Six demonstrators were reportedly arrested during the protest.

The protest was organized by the "Workers for Free Palestine" movement, aiming to press Foreign Secretary David Lammy to fulfill his previous promise to provide legal advice on British weapons sent to the Zionist occupation entity.

An activist from the Labor for Free Palestine movement stated: "If the advice confirms that Israel has violated international law, as Shadow Foreign Secretary Alicia Cairns claims, then the government must immediately stop arms exports to Israel." The activist also called for the withdrawal of the legal attempt to prevent the International Criminal Court from issuing an arrest warrant against Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The protest also aimed to support Labor and opposition MPs advocating for a ban on arms sales in the House of Commons. Additionally, it expressed solidarity with members of the Public and Commercial Services Union at the Foreign Office and the Department for Business and Trade.

Foreign Minister David Lammy faced accusations of negligence regarding the continued granting of British arms export licenses to the occupying entity and failing to confirm whether the United Kingdom would arrest Netanyahu if an International Criminal Court arrest warrant were issued against him.
