RAMALLAH July 20. 2024 (Saba) -The Palestinian foreign ministry on Friday welcomed the historical legal opinion issued by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on the illegal nature of the Zionist occupation of the Palestinian lands.
The Court assessed all the facts and evidences presented by the State of Palestine and the countries that joined the ICJ procedures, applied law wisely and fairly, and prioritized humanity, moral principle and international legitimacy, the ministry said in a statement.
This consultative opinion is now a legal reality that cannot be refuted, and entails legal impacts, the ministry added.
The only solution in compliance with the international law is brought by Israel's ending its illegal occupation of the Palestinian lands immediately and unconditionally, the ministry argued.
