SANA'A July 20. 2024 (Saba) - The specialized criminal prosecution and security services in the capital secretariat destroyed more than 40 tons of hashish resin and other narcotic substances. 260 cases were seized in which 590 defendants were subject to trial and investigation, some of whom had judicial rulings issued against them.
The materials destroyed by burning included forty tons, 892 bricks, 900 grams, five pieces of narcotic hashish resin, 218,800 pills, and ten kilograms of “Captagon,” in addition to a kilogram of heroin, 19 kilograms and 946 grams of the narcotic substance “Shabu.”
While the Director of the Narcotics Control Department, Brigadier General Akram Amer, explained that these materials were seized coming from the occupied provinces, and were on their way to Saudi territory. He praised the cooperation of society , all security efforts and military agencies in this regard.
