MOSCOW July 18. 2024 (Saba) - The Russian Defense Ministry on Thursday said air defense systems last night intercepted and destroyed 35 Ukrainian drones over Crimea and in the Bryansk region, in addition to destroying ten drones in the Black Sea.
Russian news agencies quoted the ministry as saying in a statement: "Last night, attempts by the Kiev regime to carry out a number of terrorist attacks using drones against targets on the territory of Russia were thwarted."
The statement added: "Air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 33 Ukrainian drones in the airspace of Crimea and two drones in the Bryansk region."
The Russian ministry also said that the firearms on duty in the Black Sea destroyed ten Ukrainian drones en route to Crimea.
