MOGADISHU July 02. 2024 (Saba) - Five people were killed and 20 others injured in an explosion that rocked the capital Mogadishu last night.
The Somali network "Garowe" said today, "At least five people were killed and 20 others injured in a suicide bombing in a crowded cafe in the Somali capital, Mogadishu."
It added that the cafe "was crowded with Euro fans who were watching the Spain-England match."
The Somali government and allied forces have been waging a campaign since 2022 to expel the Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabaab movement from some areas in the center of the country.
