NEW YORK July 15. 2024 (Saba) - The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) on Monday described the transformation of the agency's headquarters in the Gaza Strip into a battlefield and leveled to the ground as "horrific".
This came in a post by the Agency's Commissioner Philippe Lazzarini on his account on the "X" platform, accompanied by pictures showing the destruction caused to the Agency's headquarters as a result of the Israeli occupation bombardment of the Gaza Strip.
The agency's headquarters in the Gaza Strip has turned into a battlefield and leveled to the ground, Lazzarini said, dubbing the "new episode of blatant disregard for international humanitarian law" as "appalling."
He stressed "the need to protect United Nations facilities at all times."
