SANA'A July 15. 2024 (Saba) - The Education Office in Sana'a province on Monday organized a solemn event commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, under the theme "Humiliation is far from us."
Hadi Ammar, Director of the province's education office, emphasized the significance of observing Ashura to uphold Yemen's connection to Imam Hussein, stressing his exemplary stance against injustice and steadfast support for truth.
Ammar drew parallels between Imam Hussein's oppression and the current plight faced by the Yemeni and Palestinian peoples under what he termed the "evil trio" of America, Britain, and Israel/ Occupation, amidst what he criticized as shameful international and Arab silence.
He underscored the educational sector's role in nurturing generations with a deep reverence for the Prophet and his family, advocating for unity and national correction through lessons derived from Ashura's events.
Dr. Adel al-Qarmani, a member of the General Mobilization Committee, echoed these sentiments, highlighting Imam Hussein's courage and the parallels in today's global challenges faced by the Arab and Islamic nations, especially the Palestinian people. He called for embracing Imam Hussein's principles in confronting contemporary tyrants and injustices.
The event served as a platform to reflect on historical lessons and to reaffirm the nation's resilience against modern enemies.
