Starting new training course on guide for developing services & simplifying procedures at Administrative Sciences Institute

SANA'A July 13. 2024 (Saba) - The National Institute of Administrative Sciences began the fifteenth training course on the guide for developing services and simplifying procedures in public service units, organized by the Ministry of Civil Service and Insurance.

The ten-day course targets trainees representing the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic, the Municipality of the Capital, the Medical Council, oil and gas institutions, the cement industry, agricultural services, the Tribal Affairs Authority, the Supreme Medical Committee, the Medical Council for Community Colleges, the Center for Studies and Research.

At the opening, the Dean of the National Institute for Administrative Sciences, Dr. Muhammad Al-Qatabri, indicated that this course comes within a training program implemented within the framework of the project to develop services and simplify procedures adopted by the Ministry of Civil Service and the Institute as part of projects aimed at improving the institutional and service work of the state.


Dr. Al-Qatabri pointed out that the two projects, the Service Development Guide and the Code of Conduct, represent one of the forms of radical change launched by the Revolution Leader , which will include re-engineering the functional organizational structure of the state, improving financial and administrative policies, procedures, models, and distributing competencies according to the specific strategy, leading to digital transformation.

For his part, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Service for the Oversight Sector, Abdullah Haider, considered the success of the training program dependent on the success of the development teams in implementing its contents in public service units and achieving the desired goals of creating a qualitative shift in administrative and service work in state facilities, the impact of which is felt by the citizen benefiting from the service.

He pointed out that the contents of the Service Development Guide and the Code of Professional Conduct reflect the state leadership’s keenness to solve all the problems that the state’s administrative apparatus suffers from, raise the level of efficiency of government agencies, improve the services provided to the citizen and the beneficiary in a simplified and transparent manner.

Assistant Secretary-General of the Medical Council, Dr. Amin Al-Junaid, confirmed that the guide for developing services and the code of employee conduct are important projects that state institutions need to straighten out their condition and purify themselves of the administrative corruption that has accumulated for decades and the accompanying lengthening of procedures and transactions.

He appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Civil Service and the Institute of Administrative Sciences in adopting such programs and projects that contribute to correcting imbalances, improving institutional , functional work, and serving the citizen.
