BAGHDAD July 12. 2024 (Saba) - The security forces in Iraq on Friday announced the killing of two members of the ISIS terrorist organization, one of whom was a suicide bomber, during a security operation in the southwest of Baqubah city, northeast Iraq.
A security source said on Friday that the security forces came under fire from a farm in the village of Al-Islah in the Khan Bani Saad district, southwest of Baqubah city in northeastern Iraq, and the forces responded to the source of the fire.
He added that the security force cordoned off the area, conducted a sweep of the farms, and found the bodies of two ISIS members, one of whom was wearing an explosive belt and had a detonator in his hand.
In a related context, the security source said that the security forces arrested two members of ISIS in Salah Al-Din Governorate in northern Iraq, noting that one of the two members is an official within the organization.
